  The value in each cell is the average temperature for the month 
at that x,y location.  It is a continuous variable in units 
(increments) of Degrees Centigrade + 100 (ie. a value of 100 = 0 
degrees C).  The average temperature data was calculated using 
the station records data from NCDC's Global Historical 
Climatological Network V2 data, by Wolfgang Cramer.  Ocean and 
missing data have values of zero.
