MF 3/17/96 Contents: List of Files Dataset Info List of Files: ephead.txt header records for each precip station (#,name,elev...) epall.txt ave precip/month records for each station - all available years ep3060.txt ave precip/month records for each station for years 1930-1960 ep60td.txt ave precip/month records for each station for years 1961-1990 Dataset Info: Geographic area for Central Siberia Transect datasets: 85E to 100E and 52N to 75N. A buffer of approximately 10 degrees in width surrounding the transect was included in the search for stations. Original Source: Global Historical Climatology Network (GHCN) V.1 Datasets included: Table of all station header records listing: station number, station name, latitude, longitude, elevation (feet), first year, last year, percent missing records. File format is: '(I8,A32,F6.2,F8.2,I6,2I5,F6.2)'. Monthly average tables for each station listing: station number (index), beginning year of average, last year of average, average precipitation amounts for each month (in hundredths of inches), January thru December. Three datasets are included: 1. averages for the entire period that data is available. 2. averages for just the years 1930 to 1960. 3. averages for just the years 1961 to present, typically 1990. Format of the files is: '(I8,2I5,12(F7.2))' for all precipitation datasets. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- README.TXT FILE for Central Siberia Temperature summary datasets.
