The following files are included in the distribution:

readme.txt = this file
readme-fires.txt = important information about the origin and automation of
                   the data.
metadata.htm = HTML format FGDC metadata for the data set.
faq.txt = frequently asked questions about this data set.
akfire1199 = the Arc/Info coverage containing the fire perimeters
info = the info directory necessary to store the tabular information for the
        coverage.  If you're not familiar with Arc/Info data formats, just
        leave it where it is.  You have to have it.
preview.jpg = jpeg image of the fire perimeters along with the Alaska boundary
              and major rivers; can be opened in web browser.
